National Biologic Medicine Scientific Data Sharing Network that The Ministry of Science and Technology of the People’s Republic of China started at the year of 2003 is one of the national scientific data sharing projects. Based on the data resource which distributed at colleges ,research institutes and scientists,as well as the data from research project were integrated, syncretizing and mining data, through the establishment of the technical platform releasing to the entire society to push forward China's scientific data sharing, and promoting scientific and technological progress,is the goal of the project.

      In the support of The Ministry of Science and Technology of the People’s Republic of China, National Scientific Data Sharing Project initiated in 2003.Scientific data sharing project is an important part of the national scientific and technological innovation system, is the solid foundation to raise the overall level of China's science and technology and to strengthen the country's scientific and technological competitiveness .From Scientific data sharing project started, the working group and the Office of scientific data sharing project had been set up,and the organizational build had been completed. Scientific data sharing project has been implemented in two phases: the first phase (2005 years ago) scientific data sharing project planning and pilot phase. Including program research, sharing technology development , policies and regulations research , sharing rules and regulations enaction, and the legislative process promotion, National Science Data Center Construction and services pilot, shared services network construction and services pilot, major breakthroughs in basic, nonprofit scientific data integration and sharing of resources services. The second phase (2006-2010) scientific data sharing project comprehensively advance stage. Including the continued sharing technology development, policies research, sharing rules and regulations enaction ,legislation promotion, National Science Data Center Construction and services promotion ,sharing service networks' construction and services promotion ,the pilot center and service networks improvement and operation.
